The most expensive mistake in a Rallying Warcry setup is upgrading the weapon socket before the weapon itself is ready. Players often spend valuable Path of Exile 2 Currency on a mediocre base because +1 to all Warcry Skill Gems looks powerful on paper, yet the build still struggles when its main attack lacks enough damage, speed, or critical consistency.

Jiquani's Soul Core of Rallying is strongest when Warcries already form a reliable part of the combat loop. It grants +1 to all Warcry Skill Gems while socketed into a weapon, is limited to one copy, and requires level 50. Those conditions make it a specialization tool rather than an early leveling shortcut.

Build Around the Rotation, Not the Tooltip

The real value of Rallying comes from repeated use. A character that casts a Warcry once every thirty seconds gains far less than one that uses a Warcry before nearly every heavy attack, slam, or burst window. Track how often the skill is actually pressed during a normal map before changing your weapon.

In practice, the setup works best when the Warcry creates a clear combat state: stronger next-hit damage, improved resource flow, better crowd control, or a meaningful trigger for the primary attack. If the preparation step takes longer than two or three seconds against ordinary packs, the extra gem level may increase numbers without improving clear speed.

Players should also test the rotation against an elite with dangerous modifiers. A setup that feels smooth against white enemies can collapse when a rare monster forces movement before the Warcry benefit is consumed.

Choose the Weapon Before Rallying

Start with the weapon's base damage, attack speed, and relevant affixes. For a physical build, compare the weapon's average hit against the current upgrade rather than judging only its item level. For a critical setup, confirm that the base critical chance and attack rate support the intended breakpoint before sacrificing a stronger weapon Soul Core.

Rallying becomes attractive when the weapon already clears regular enemies comfortably and the Warcry level changes a real threshold. Examples include reaching a higher damage tier, improving a duration breakpoint, or reducing the number of attacks needed to finish a rare monster. Without one of those gains, raw weapon damage can remain the better choice.

1) Delay expensive socket upgrades until the weapon survives both mapping and elite encounters.

2) Test Warcry timing during movement-heavy boss phases before committing to the setup.

3) Keep a stronger damage weapon available when the extra skill level changes no breakpoint.

Mapping and Bossing Need Different Priorities

For mapping, the key measurement is time between packs. A Warcry that adds 20 percent theoretical damage but forces an extra animation before every group may reduce experience and loot per hour. Use Rallying when the skill can be activated while approaching a pack, during an existing recovery window, or as part of an attack that already needs preparation.

Boss encounters offer a different calculation. During a telegraphed attack or phase transition, there may be enough time to activate the Warcry, reposition, and deliver the empowered strike. Save cooldowns and resource charges for those windows instead of consuming them immediately after entering the arena.

Farming routes should reflect this distinction. Fast, dense maps reward short rotations and reliable one-cycle clears, while pinnacle encounters justify slower preparation if the resulting burst removes a dangerous phase before defensive resources run out.

Plan the Upgrade Around Endgame Costs

Rallying is most useful after the character has stable defenses, dependable resistance coverage, and a weapon that is not waiting for an immediate replacement. Do not chase the Soul Core at level 50 if the upgrade would delay essential defensive gear or leave insufficient currency for map sustain.

A practical progression is to establish the weapon base first, test the Warcry rotation in red-tier content, and compare the Rallying version against alternative socket options over several runs. Measure deaths, boss phase duration, clear time, and resource usage rather than relying on the character sheet alone.

Players who consistently use Warcries and can identify a meaningful skill-level breakpoint should consider Rallying part of their long-term weapon plan. Those seeking the cheapest path to smoother upgrades should reserve cheap POE 2 Currency Orbs for the weapon and defensive milestones that make the build reliable.
